Is Your Dog Longing for a Little Guidance? Signs Your Dog Needs Training.

Updated: Jul 9, 2023

Hey there, fellow dog lover! Let's chat about some telltale signs that your furry friend could benefit from some training. We all want our dogs to be well-behaved and happy, so recognizing these signs is the first step towards achieving that goal.

Have you ever been greeted not with a wag, but with a whirlwind of fur leaping up at you, sending your carefully brewed latte across the room? Or maybe you've returned home to find that your beloved pooch has mistaken your favorite pair of shoes for a chew toy (again). Sound familiar? Dogs displaying behaviors like excessive barking, destructive chewing, jumping on unsuspecting guests, and pulling with all their might on the leash may be trying to tell us something – they need some guidance, structure, and loads of love!

Recognizing these signs early on is essential for addressing them and creating a harmonious relationship with your dog. And guess what? I am here to help! With my expertise and passion for dog training, I'm committed to helping you and your dog create a strong bond and unlock their potential.

At Dalmatia BnB, we pride ourselves on our down-to-earth approach and genuine love for dogs. One of the families I worked with while in training at Tom Rose had a cute little Doodle named Lux. The family was struggling to communicate their needs to Lux, and there was a lack of consistency in their commands and rules. They wanted their dog to have better manners, not run through the door, and stay in a designated place during family dinners.

I trained with Lux daily and met with the whole family once a week to teach them what Lux and I had been learning. Soon enough, even the youngest family member was confidently giving commands, and Lux happily followed. This transformation was incredible!

It's important to remember that seeking help is not admitting defeat. Instead, it's taking the first step towards a stronger, happier relationship with your loving pooch. And who doesn't want that? Here's to delightful walks, peaceful afternoons, and visitors who don't have to worry about dodging an exuberant furry missile!
